Who we are

Turning Tide Press LLC is an independent publishing house founded by M.H. Stephen in Nevada. We publish fiction that matters — stories that take young readers somewhere real, challenge them to think deeply, and leave them caring about the world they inhabit.

Our first series, The Drift, follows Finn Cole and Ren, a juvenile orca, as they navigate grief, trust, and the ancient secrets of the world's oceans. It is the kind of story we believe the next generation needs — adventurous, honest, and rooted in the truth that the ocean is older than any of us, and it is counting on them.

The name Turning Tide Press reflects our mission. We believe stories have the power to shift the way young readers see the natural world — to turn the tide toward a future where the next generation grows up as genuine stewards of our oceans.

Every book we publish begins with that belief.
